Spectral Properties of Active, Suspended and Relict Landslides derived from Airborne Thematic Mapper Imagery

چکیده
INTRODUCTION Broadway lies in a region of England that has been strongly affected by successive periods of periglacial conditions, located just below the southern extent of last glacial advances. Broadway contains evidence of relict periglacial features as well as more recent landslide activity. As part of a general study of mass movements in relict periglacial terrains, slope movements at Broadway have been categorised according to activity using ridge and furrow cultivation remains. Three categories of landslide activity have been identified at Broadway; active, suspended and relict landslides.

Identification of landslides in clay terrains using Airborne Thematic Mapper (ATM) multispectral imagery
The slopes of the Cotswolds Escarpment in the United Kingdom are mantled by extensive landslide deposits, including both relict and active features. These landslides pose a significant threat to engineering projects and have been the focus of research into the use of airborne remote sensing data sets for landslide mapping. Due to the availability of extensive ground investigation data, a test s...
متن کاملInvestigating Alteration Zone Mapping Using EO-1 Hyperion Imagery and Airborne Geophysics Data
Hyperspectral remote sensing records reflectance or emittance data in a large sum of contiguous and narrow spectral bands, and thus has many information in detecting and mapping the mineral zones. On the other hand, the geological and geophysical data gives us some other fruitful information about the physical characteristics of soil and minerals that have been recorded from the surface. ...
متن کاملUsing of ASTER, ETM+ and Gamma Spectrometry Airborne Data to Find the Relationship Between the Distribution of Alkali Metasomatism and REE Mineralization in the Bafq Area, Central Iran
The study area is located in the central Iranian tectono-magmatic zone, which is known for its world-class IOA-type Iron ore deposits. The Advanced Space borne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) and Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) image-processing techniques, were used in satellite imagery through conventional and also modern processing methods including band ratios...
متن کاملLandslide Classification Using Lidar-derived Data and Spot Imagery
Using spectral-only information for landslides classification is usually confusing with houses, roads, and other bare lands because these ground features have similar spectral patterns on images. In this study, 3D airborne LiDAR data are integrated with SPOT images for landslide classification for improving classification accuracy. A study area is selected in a subbasin of Shimen Reservoir. SPO...

This study determined some spectral characteristics and relationship between Landsat spectral reflectance and soil surface color in the arid region of Iran (Kashan). The study carried out in the kashan area that covers 90000 ha. Consisting of mountain, hills and flood plain. Enhanced Thematic Mapper (ETM+) data collected on July 2002 were used for this research. The color composite images produ...
